- Search our website, using the search boxes at the top of every page.
- Search the contents of our large inventory of collections and anthologies for a particular individual work — a song or aria, or a particular sonata or nocturne you’re looking for. Just select “Content Search” from the search box to take advantage of this feature. You’ll get results from our books as well, making this search even more useful.
- Get answers to your questions by following the links in the “Information” box in the left-hand column of our pages, or click the “Help” link at the top of the page.
- Order by credit card — quickly, easily, and safely — and receive our 5% online discount! You can also use our website to print out your order and mail it to us with a check, if you prefer, and still get all those discounts.
If you can’t find the music you’re looking for on our website, use our research form to submit your query. If it is in print and available for sale in the U.S., we will be able to special-order it for you. We might even have it in stock!
About T.I.S. Music Catalog
T.I.S. Music Catalog grew out of a music shop located in the T.I.S. College Bookstore in Bloomington, Indiana. The T.I.S. Music Shop has been serving the Indiana University School of Music and Bloomington-area musicians for more than 40 years.
As students who had relied on the Music Shop while they were in Bloomington graduated and moved to other parts of the country, they still turned to us to find the music they needed. T.I.S. Music Catalog was created to serve them, and over the years more and more people have come to count on us for our extensive inventory and expert service. We now have customers across the country and around the world.
Our Catalog first went online in 1997, with a major site re-design in the Fall of 2000, another revision in the Spring of 2002, and yet another division in the Spring of 2006. Today, online orders make up more than 70% of our business. With the advent of the Internet, we can serve you even more efficiently and effectively than ever before.
What does “T.I.S.” stand for?
A lot of people ask us, “What does T.I.S. stand for?” The short answer is that it’s just our name. The longer answer begins with our parent company, T.I.S. Group
T.I.S. began in 1962 as a family-run academic publishing and textbook distribution business called Tichenor Institutional Services (T.I.S., for short). Over the years the name of the company became just the initials, as T.I.S. expanded its business to include a wide range of interests from college bookstores to sportswear imprinting to custom publishing.
T.I.S. is still family-owned and -run by the Tichenors, and is still based on the same ideal of high quality professional service in all our divisions. Here at T.I.S. Music, we are committed to meeting all your vocal and piano sheet music needs and more!
